How to style a messy bun in less than three minutes

Mastering a quick hairstyle can do wonders for your attitude and your weekend. A messy bun may sound sloppy, but it's actually just a less perfected version of a traditional updo. "Messy" styles are an art, and you don't want to look like you just rolled out of bed. The following tutorial will help put your hair in order.
Most buns require precision, or a hair donut tool, but this bun is formed by creating a high ponytail with your hands. Twisting the hair and pinning it in place eliminates the tightness that can sometimes cause a headache, too. The loose face framing tendrils are curled with a flat iron, but a curling iron works, too.

Instructions
1. Brush through your hair to make sure it is smooth.
2. Use your hands to lift the hair into a high ponytail, then twist the ponytail and form it into a loose bun on the top of your head. Secure the bun with a hair elastic and bobby pins.
3. Gently pull a few wisps of hair down around your face and curl them with a flat iron.
4. Spray the finished hairstyle with hair spray.
Short of hiding your hair under a baseball cap, this is one of the easiest no fuss hairstyles around. Enjoy!
