Metallic Matte Nails

Are you loving the matte nail trend but craving a little something extra? Single shade matte nails can be, well, one note. Fortunately, there's a cure for matte boredom ... metallic transfer film. While the film itself has a sheen, it can easily be mattified to suit the current trend by adding a matte gel top coat to the mix.
This nail tutorial is all about shades of fall with a little edginess. The black base shade creates the perfect backdrop for accent colors in shades of red, green and gold. When the matte top coat is applied, the finished design changes colors slightly, which will give the manicure a unique appearance.
