Create Dutch pigtails for a stylish workout look

When your daily routine includes running errands or hitting the gym, you need a hairstyle that will survive all that activity. A ponytail may work, but Dutch braids will keep your hair in place even if you're running on the treadmill or doing downward-facing dog.
Dutch braids are only slightly different from French braids. You'll divide the hair into three sections, and when incorporating additional hair from the outside, you'll weave the hair over the middle section instead of under it. It may feel a little awkward at first, but you'll get the hang of it in no time.

These Dutch pigtails are even more stylish than a single braid. They'll keep your hair out of your eyes while looking cute at the same time.

Instructions
1. Brush the top of your hair back, then part it down the middle using your fingers or a rat-tail comb.
2. Brush the hair on each side of the part to get rid of any tangles before braiding.
3. Starting with the left side, create a Dutch braid. This is similar to a French braid, but you’ll cross the outer strands over the middle strand instead of under when incorporating more hair. Secure the end of the braid with a hair elastic.
4. Braid the right side of the hair just like in step three.
5. Spray your hair with hair spray, and lightly pat down any flyaway hair.
