How to paint pink ombre nails with a glitter accent

Pink is a controversial color. Is it too girly - to the point where it diminishes a woman's strength? Can boys wear pink? However, people of all genders have started to embrace pink as a personal power color.
These nails certainly don't shy away from pink. In fact, they use two shades of it to create an ombre effect. Then they sass it all up with some glitter. They make a bold statement that isn't for any shrinking violet.

Materials
- Light pink nail polish
- Bright pink nail polish
- Glitter pink gel polish
- Nail paintbrush
- Clear gel topcoat
Instructions
1. Paint each nail light pink. This may take two coats. Allow the nails to dry between each coat and after the second coat.
2. Apply bright pink nail polish to the right half of one nail, layering it darker on the right than on the left.
3. Apply additional light pink polish on the right side, blending it into the bright pink in the center.
4. Add additional bright pink to the left side as needed. The goal is to have bright pink on the left, light pink on the right, and an ombre blend of the two in the middle of the nail.
5. Repeat steps two-four for each nail. Let all nails dry.
6. Apply pink glitter gel polish to just one fingernail on each hand, such as only the ring finger. Of course, if you're feeling like it, you could add it to some or all of the other nails, too.
