How to paint green ombre nails

Ombre isn't just defined by the same color going from dark to light. Anytime that one color fades softly into the next, you've got an ombre. That's why we didn't just stick with shades of green for these ombre nails. Green is the dominant color, but we've incorporated yellow, blue, and blue for a pastel-inspired ombre across the hand.
Each nail is painted with two colors, one on the right and one on the left of the nail. Each individual color is more obvious at the ends while they blend together in the center. The color combination differs from one nail to the next. It isn't your traditional ombre, which is exactly what makes it stand out.

Materials
- Gel paints in five colors: pastel shades of green, yellow, pink, blue, and purple.
- Nail paintbrush
- Clear gel topcoat
Instructions
1. Apply one color of paint on each nail. Cover the pointer finger with green. Then paint the middle finger yellow, the ring finger pink, the pinky finger purple and the thumbnail blue. Allow to dry completely.
2. Add an additional layer of green paint to the right side of the pointer nail.
3. Apply a coat of blue paint to the left side of the pointer nail. Layer it on so that the left side is darker than the right side.
4. Add additional green paint on the right side, blending it into the blue in the center. This completes the blue-green ombre of the pointer finger nail.
5. Repeat steps two-four on the middle finger. However, you will use yellow paint on the right side and green paint on the left side. This creates a yellow-green ombre.
6. Repeat step five on the ring finger using pink on the right side and blue on the left.
7. Repeat step five on the pinky finger using purple on the right side and blue on the left.
8. Leave the thumbnail solid blue. Alternatively, you can create an ombre by repeating step five using blue on the right and purple on the left.
