How to paint black and gold glitter ombre nails

These nails are perfect for Halloween. However, they work as fancy nails for other seasonal events as well. The gold glitter brings sophistication to a gothic black nail. That added sparkle is what gives these nails such versatility.

At first glance, you might not even realize that these are ombre nails. After all, we usually think of ombre as fading from one color to the next. However, when you see that the glitter is applied thickly at the top and fades towards the center of the nail, the ombre becomes more obvious. These nails are special and deserve that second glance.

Materials
- Black nail polish
- Gold glitter gel nail polish
- Clear gel topcoat

Instructions
1. Paint all of your nails solid black. This may take two coats. Allow them to dry completely.

2. Apply a thick crescent of gold glitter polish to the top third or quarter of each nail.

3. Use your nail brush to gently draw that polish downward towards the center of each nail, creating the ombre effect.

4. Go back over the tip of each nail with more gold glitter polish. This makes the top even bolder, exaggerating the ombre.

5. Go back over each nail, adding small gentle dabs of glitter polish near the center of the nails. Do not add it too thick; you still want to keep the center lighter than the tips.

6. Apply clear gel topcoat to all nails.
