How to paint tulips on your nails

Floral nail designs have been popular for years. They give nails a touch of whimsy and bring smiles from admirers along the way. Most of the time, one only see tulips in a spring garden or bouquet, but they're easy to draw and can give your manicure a playful look.
If you're going to put in the extra effort of painting a new design, you want it to last. That's why this tutorial features gel polish. As you'll see in the video, you'll need to cure your nails a couple of times, but the process only takes about 30 seconds each time.

Materials
- Gel nail base coat
- Decorative nail paint for flowers in multiple colors, including green
- UV lamp
- Dotting tool
- Gel nail top coat
Directions
1. Make sure your nails are clean and free of oil.
2. Apply one or two base coats of gel polish, curing in between each thin layer for 30 seconds.
3. Draw tulip petals with the dotting tool, and add dimension to them by drawing thin lines on each one with a lighter color.
4. Add the stems by using the green paint and the dotting tool.
5. Apply a top coat to seal in the design and cure again under the UV lamp for 30 seconds.
