How to make a setting spray for makeup

Setting spray has so many functions, but most of us use it as the last step during our makeup routine to make our foundation and blush (and contour powder, highlighter, finishing powder, etc.) meld seamlessly. If you've ever wondered if you could make your own instead of forking over your hard-earned money, the answer is absolutely!
In this quick tutorial video, you'll learn how to create your own setting spray. Our version includes witch hazel toner, which hydrates the skin and reduces oil buildup. Since everyone can benefit from the soothing qualities found in aloe vera, you'll add some gel to the mix as well. Finally, we recommend adding a few drops of tea tree oil to the mixture for its skincare benefits since it's often used to fight acne and can reduce breakouts. As an added bonus, you can use this multiple ways.

Materials
- Spray bottle
- Distilled water
- Witch hazel toner, preferably alcohol free
- Tea tree oil
- Aloe vera gel, preferably organic
Directions
1. Remove the atomizer from your spray bottle and fill it halfway with distilled water.
2. Next, add the witch hazel to the bottle, but leave some room at the top.
3. Add 3-4 drops of tea tree oil to the bottle.
4. Finally, squeeze some aloe vera gel into the bottle as well.
5. Reinsert the atomizer and shake well to combine.
You now have your very own setting spray. Mist your face in an "X" and "T" motion while keeping the bottle at least six inches away from your face. You can also you this to spot clean your makeup brushes or to tamp down wispy flyaway hairs.
Stay pretty!
