Materials
- Baby shampoo
- Small bowl
- 5 or 6 drops lavender essential oil
- 5 or 6 drops tea tree essential oil
- Makeup brushes
Directions
1. Begin by combining the baby shampoo and essential oils in a small bowl.
2. Gently swirl a makeup brush in the mixture.
3. Add a few drops of water to your hand and rub the brush over it to thin the mixture and cleanse the brush.
4. Rinse the brush in clean water. Tip: Don't immerse the ferrule (the metal ring that attaches the bristles to the handle). Water can break down the adhesive inside the ferrule and make the bristles fall out.
6. Gently squeeze the excess water from the brush and reshape it.
7. Let the brush air dry on a flat surface.
Congratulations! The brushes are now clean and conditioned.
