How to make DIY coconut vanilla lip gloss

Lately, lip oils and lip treatments have gained a tremendous following. If you like long-wearing liquid lipstick, chances are your lips could use a little extra love at day's end. Unlike lip balms that sit on the surface of your lips and tend to be waxy, lip oils are instantly glossy and hydrate your lips at a deeper level. These are great for a natural look or a restorative treatment, but they can be pricey.
Fierce League decided to try to make lip gloss. And guess what? It's easier than you think. In this quick tutorial, you'll learn how to combine ingredients to create coconut vanilla lip gloss. The base is made with fractionated coconut oil, which comes in a liquid form instead of a solid. The process couldn't be simpler, so take a look.

Materials
- Roller ball bottle
- Fractionated coconut oil
- 3 drops vanilla extract
- Eye dropper
- Lip exfoliating scrub
- Hydrating makeup wipe
Directions
1. Start by removing the roller ball from the bottle. Make sure you place it on a clean, sanitary surface while filling the bottle.
2. Fill the eye dropper with coconut oil and transfer it to the bottle. Don't fill the bottle completely. You need to save some room for the vanilla.
3. Add the vanilla extract and replace the roller ball and cap tightly.
4. Now you're ready to prep your lips. Dampen them with a little water because wet lips are easier to exfoliate. Lightly exfoliate them with a gentle sugar scrub.
5. Wipe away the lip scrub with a makeup wipe.
6. The oil and vanilla may separate while the bottle is sitting upright, so give it a little shake before applying to your lips.
Voila! Instantly hydrated lips with just a kiss of vanilla.
