Chilly winter weather can make even the most hydrated skin look dry and lackluster. Add wind too and every bit of moisture will be stripped away in seconds. Fight the effects of Old Man Winter by modifying your makeup application technique. A few simple changes can restore that dewy look instantly.
Since liquid concealer can be thick and drying, mixing it with moisturizer can amp up the glow factor and keep skin from cracking during the day. Hydrating toner is also an absolute must and doubles as a moisturizing agent when spritzed onto a beauty sponge. Although you may be tempted to use water for this step, hydrating toner makes dry skin look and feel better because it often contains glycerin.

1. Apply a small amount of moisturizer and concealer on the back of your hand.
2. Spray toner onto the beauty sponge and use the sponge to mix the moisturizer and concealer together.
3. Pat and press the concealer mixture onto your face where coverage is needed. If the concealer feels too thick, mist the sponge once more and reapply.
4. Swirl the tapered blending brush in the bronzer and tap off the excess powder. Use circular motions to disburse the product along your cheekbones and temples.
5. Apply liquid highlighter to the back of your hand and dip the damp beauty sponge into it.
6. Lightly press the beauty sponge against the high points of your face, including the cheekbones, forehead, nose and chin.
7. Swirl the fluffy brush in the peach blush and apply it to your cheeks in circular motions.
8. Shake the setting spray to combine the illuminating ingredients. Spray your face in an “X” and “T” shape to set makeup in place. This also eliminates any powdery residue left behind by the bronzer or blush.
9. To maintain a hydrated glow, mist your face throughout the day with the illuminating setting spray or the hydrating toner.
