How many times have you woken up and looked in the mirror only to see a tired face looking back at you? Plenty, right? Sometimes, despite best efforts, one's appearance clearly shows that someone has stayed up too late or just hasn't had a good night's sleep. Thankfully, there are many ways to quickly look more rested without too much effort.
In this tutorial, you'll learn seven tips for looking well-rested. You don't necessarily need to do all of them at once, but it certainly helps to have a few extra tricks to fall back on when necessary. Most of these steps require things you already have in your makeup bag or medicine cabinet, but if you don't own a reusable gel eye mask, you'll definitely want to pick one up.

2. If your eyes are puffy, remove the eye mask from the fridge and put it on. You can leave it on while you put on body lotion, make coffee or pick out clothes.
3. After removing the mask, lightly tap the area around your eyes with your fingers. This increases circulation and helps deflate further puffiness.
4. If your undereye area looks dark or dry, mix a little eye cream with concealer on the back of your hand. Apply it under your eyes with your fingers or a damp beauty sponge to both hydrate and hide any darkness.
5. It's time for eye shadow. Avoiding dark colors is best, so sweep a shimmery white or cream-colored shadow across the lid with a fluffy eye shadow brush, and add a little extra to the inner corners of each eye.
6. Because the lower waterline can sometimes look red when someone is tired, cover it with the white eye pencil.
7. Set your look with a hydrating setting spray. Tired skin can also be dehydrated, so mist skin to replenish any lost moisture.
