How to do easy subtle eyes

Getting ready for the day doesn't have to be complicated. Bright vibrant shadows are fun, but they also shout "Hey, look at my makeup!" Simple eye shadow looks can define your eyes and make you look polished in seconds. If you're overwhelmed by the number of shadows in your palette, don't be. The short tutorial below uses just four products. With these colors, you'll look pulled together in no time.
To create this natural and subtle look, stick with neutral shades from the same color family. Brown shadows are widely available in both cool and warm tones to suit every skin type, and we've chosen those to show you how to do a subtle look in just a few minutes.

Materials
- Medium brown eye shadow
- Medium eye shadow brush
- Tissue or clean towel
- Shimmery brown eye shadow
- Matte black eye shadow
- Small eye shadow brush
- Eyelash curler
- Mascara
Directions
1. Begin by using the medium eye shadow brush to apply the medium brown eye shadow to your crease area.
2. Wipe off the brush on a tissue or towel so you don't transfer that shade to your lid.
3. Now, apply the shimmery brown eye shadow to the lid. Be careful not to blend it into the crease. You want the lid to have a pop of brightness and the crease to remain defined.
4. Instead of using eye liner, apply black eye shadow to your lash line with a small eye shadow brush. This gives your eye a smokey look and creates the illusion of fuller lashes.
5. Gently curl your lashes and apply one or two coats of mascara. Tip: Wiggle the wand gently at the base of your lashes before sweeping upward.
You're all done and ready to get on with your day.
