How to use a Q-tip to fix a mascara mistake

Mascara might be one of the greatest gifts of all time. After all, no one wants skimpy, invisible lashes. Applying mascara requires a steady hand, and no matter how long you've been doing makeup, you can still make a mistake. The trouble, though, is not the mistake itself but how to remove it without wiping off the rest of your eye makeup.
Thankfully, most mascara mistakes are small and don't require makeup remover. You do need to have a plan, however, because trying to wipe off wet mascara is a surefire way to turn gorgeous shadow into a hot mess.

If you accidentally get mascara on your eyelid, take a breath and let it dry for a minute. Yes, it's going to set. Yes, you'll rub off some eyeshadow when removing the mascara, but your patience will save you from cleaning up an even bigger mess. For little fixes, you just need patience and a Q-tip.
Materials
- Q-tip swab, regular or pointy (whatever you have is fine)
- Eyeshadow
Instructions
1. Gently rub a Q-tip against the mascara in the wrong place. Because there's a layer of eyeshadow underneath it, the mascara will come off on the Q-tip.
2. Continue gently rubbing until all of the mascara is removed.
3. Apply more eyeshadow to the now-clean spot.
