Look glamorous by day or night with this matte taupe makeup look

This matte taupe makeup look might become your new favorite day-to-night style. The neutral shadows offer timeless elegance and fresh-faced beauty that will fit right in, whether worn at a family dinner or an evening soirée. It’s also professional enough for your office job and makes transitioning to happy hour a breeze. Best of all, it uses common eye shadow colors that you might already have.
Although the overall feel of this look is matte taupe, a bit of shimmery shadow and highlighter add dimension and a luminous glow. Gold, rose and matte brown shadows work together to make your lids look velvety soft. Baby pink lipstick and gloss add a touch of color without overpowering the look.

Instructions
1. Rub a lightweight facial cream into your face to keep your skin hydrated. Blend in a small amount of primer on top.
2. Apply the "Soft Ochre" paint or another eye shadow primer to your eyelid using a large shader brush. Apply the primer all the way up to your brow bone.
3. Apply "Native" or a rose gold shadow above your crease using a blending brush. Below that, apply "Sandstone" or a shimmery, light gold shadow to your entire lid.
4. Apply "Indie" or a matte, brown shadow just above your lashes with a small pencil brush.
5. Apply mascara to your upper lashes, then attach faux eyelashes. Allow the lash glue to dry.
6. Apply foundation with a foundation brush.
7. Draw a triangle below each eye with concealer. Add concealer to your chin, the space just above and between your eyebrows, above your Cupid’s bow and along the bridge of your nose. Use a quick, stippling motion to blend in the concealer with a blending sponge.
8. Dab setting powder on top of the concealer with the blending sponge.
9. Line and fill in your brows with a brow pencil.
10. Use a bronzer brush and a swirling motion to apply bronzer below your cheekbones.
11. Lightly dab and sweep blush across the top of your cheeks with a blush brush.
12. Spray makeup setting mist across your face, holding the can at least 6 inches away from it.
13. Dab highlighter to the top of your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, Cupid’s bow, chin and above your brows using a highlighter brush or small powder brush.
14. Apply lipstick to your lower lip. Press your lips together, then fill in your upper lip where necessary. Go over the lipstick with lip gloss.
