Half up half down twist

When preparing for a wedding, it's easy to become overwhelmed by all the details -- the dress, the makeup, the hair. With so many decisions to make, picking a hairstyle may be pretty far down the list. One thing to keep in mind is whether there will be time to visit a stylist before the ceremony.
If a simple look suits your theme or if having someone else style your hair is just not feasible, then this pretty half up half down twist will cut short the prep time and get you on to the main event without delay. The following video shows how quick and easy it is to achieve an elegant style without investing hours in front of the mirror.

Instructions
1. Brush through the hair and remove any tangles.
2. Using the rat tail comb or your fingers, part the hair horizontally from ear to ear and secure the upper portion of the hair with an elastic hair band. Make sure the bottom half of the hair is loose and flowing.
3. Gently pull apart the ponytail above the elastic so it's easier to complete the next step.
4. Lift the ponytail up and over the elastic, then pull it back down against the base of the head. The upper portion should appear twisted when finished.
5. Take a small section of hair from behind the ponytail and wrap it around the elastic to cover it, then use bobby pins to secure it underneath the hair.
6. Insert a floral rhinestone pin above the twist on each side in a fan shape.
7. Smooth any loose hair and finish with hair spray if desired.
