How to use a low-wat highlighter

When applying your favorite highlighter, it's so easy to swipe on your favorite shade for that dewy glow... and keep on swiping. If you've ever gone highlighter happy and applied too much, this video is for you. We'll teach you how to achieve a natural application instead of winding up with a thick, snowy white patch on your cheek!
All you need to achieve the perfect shine is your favorite highlighter palette and a fan brush. The fan brush is our must-have tool for highlight application, as it picks up just enough highlighter without dropping too much product on your face.

Instructions
1. Take a look at your highlight palette. One of the top ways to avoid looking like you put on way too much highlighter is to pick a natural tone. Sometimes the snowy white shades or those that are more bronze will be too light or dark. It should be very close to your complexion.
2. Once you've picked your natural tone, dip your fan brush into the highlighter to pick up some product.
3. Gently swipe the highlighter onto the top of your cheekbones where it'll catch the light. Try for only one application.
There you have it: a low-wat highlight that's subtle and sweet. Tip: Do your best to not layer your highlighter, as this will be what drives your shimmer over the edge into streaky. Lightly touch up patches with a second coat, but don't go any further than that!
