How to properly cleanse and sanitize your beauty blender

Beauty blenders are an amazing addition to your makeup routine. They seamlessly blend foundation for a flawless natural finish, but after several applications, they need a good washing. It's never a good idea to leave them dirty as you can spread old makeup and bacteria into your pores.

The good news is washing a beauty blender doesn't have to be difficult. This short video shows an easy way to suds up a beauty blender and have it looking brand-new and squeaky clean in no time. All you need is a few items from your kitchen.

Materials
- Microwave-safe bowl
- Dish soap
- Water
- Microwave
- Beauty blender

Instructions
1. Place a quarter-size dollop of dish soap into the bottom of a microwave-safe bowl.

2. Pour some water over the soap. Fill the bowl at least halfway, although you don't need to fill it all the way.

3. Place the beauty blender in the bowl, making sure to roll it in the soapy mixture so it is covered in suds.

4. Leaving the beauty blender in the bowl, place it inside the microwave. Program the microwave to cook for one minute and press start.

5. Take the bowl out of the microwave and rinse the beauty blender in the sink. Squeeze it a couple of times to ring out all the suds.

Wasn't that easy? Now the beauty blender is clean, sanitized and ready for another use. Lave it out to air dry for a couple of hours before your next foundation application.
