6 tips and tricks for quick and easy brows

Instagram-worthy brows are great, but who has the time? Most days, you need to have a simple routine that maximizes your natural beauty as fast as possible.
Getting defined, eye-framing brows doesn't have to take multiple products or a half an hour. As long as you have a good quality eye pencil and a few key tools, you'll look polished and ready for the day in just minutes.

1. Brush your brows into place
Whether you use a toothbrush, a spoolie, or even a clean mascara wand, simply brush your brow hairs into place to see where you need a little touch up.
2. Use a forgiving pencil color
Whenever possible, try to use a brow pencil that is close to your natural hair shade or just a bit lighter. Overly dark brows look harsh and can make you look dated.
3. Distribute the color with an angled brush (h/t MAC Cosmetics)
If you've ever tried to distribute your brow color with a spoolie, you know it simply lifts the color away and ultimately clumps up the brush. Gregory Arlt, MAC's Director of Makeup Artistry recommends using a dedicated angled brush to move the color into place.
4. Don't forget the tail
Most people have lighter brow hair at the very end, so fill this area in with micro-fine strokes to ensure a balanced look.
5. Groom once more
Once you're happy with the overall look, groom the hairs again with the spoolie to make sure they're laying where you want them.

6. Set with gel
If you have unruly brows, then you know the drama is real. Set those wayward brows with a clear gel or mascara to ensure they're budge-proof for the day.
