6+ genius tips for carving out your cheekbones

High cheekbones are such a signature Hollywood look. From Gigi Hadid to Angelina Jolie, it seems that stars are always born with great bone structure. These prominent cheekbones give stars the appearance of a slimmer and more youthful face, but, thankfully, if you weren't born with prominent cheekbones, you can create the illusion of them with makeup.
Carving out cheekbones with makeup is an easy way to enhance natural bone structure and achieve that classic Hollywood look, so we've come up with a list of tips to help you make your cheekbones pop.

1. Find where your natural cheekbones are
Suck in your cheeks or make a hard pucker with your lips so you can clearly see your cheekbones and the hollows of your cheeks. This will make it easier to apply makeup to the correct spot.

2. Use bronzer to hollow out the space beneath your cheekbones
See that indent that appears when you suck in your cheeks? Apply some bronzer to this area. This creates a shadow under your cheekbones that will make them appear to pop out more.

3. Apply foundation below your bronzer to create even more definition
Want more definition? Swipe on a stripe of foundation below the bronzer you applied to the hollows of your cheeks to create an even more chiseled look.

4. Use concealer along cheekbones
Do you normally apply concealer in a semicircle beneath your eyes? Instead, apply under-eye concealer in a pie shape. The concealer's light color along your cheekbones will reflect the light and make them stand out.

5. Add blush
Is contouring and highlighting a little much for you? Blush is a subtle way to bring some color to your cheeks so they don't blend in with the rest of your foundation. Just apply to the apples of your cheeks and make sure to blend it out so the blush doesn't look clown-like.

6. Decide what shape you want cheekbones to have
What would you rather have, round apple-like cheeks or an angular model-like look? Either way, your cheekbones are going to be front and center.

7. Use powder highlighter on cheekbones
Who doesn't love a blinding highlight? Take a fan brush and apply powder highlighter in soft strokes onto your cheekbones to make them seriously pop.
