6 tips and tricks to follow when you're putting on false eyelashes

False lashes are a gift to those with skimpy little lashes...but they can be tricky to apply. While practice will certainly make you feel more confident in your fringe-faking skill, a few tips and tricks never hurt either.

1. Bend that band
Straight out of the package, your false lashes may lack that natural curve. You can create a better shape by wrapping them around a makeup brush a few minutes before applying them.

2. Snip the strip
If your false lashes tend to gap, try cutting them into a few pieces like @BrettGlam recommends. Smaller sections are easier to set in place.

3. Get that glue on
Squeezing glue onto that teeny little lash band is an exercise in hand/eye coordination. Try the trick of putting some of the glue on a Q-tip first.

6. Finish with mascara
Once your lashes are in place, apply a light coat of mascara to your natural lashes. The mascara helps them blend together for a seamless look.
