Here are the most flattering eye makeup looks for your eye shape

Remember buying your first eye shadow palette? Chances are it included three, maybe four, shadows. Lid, transition, crease, and brow bone. It was helpful except some of us don't even have a crease.
Getting the most flattering look for your specific eye shape may take a little effort, but once you understand your unique features, you'll be able to showcase them and feel more confident about your skills at the same time.

1. Fake that crease
Having a monolid means you need to create the illusion of a crease with shadow. Stick with matte colors for definition and finish by adding a touch of satin shadow to the lid to make your eye look more open. Tip: A little sparkle in the inner corner never hurt.
2. Don't weigh down those hoods
If you have hooded eyes, or the upper eye skin tends to droop down and rest on the eyelid, then you should steer clear of overly dark shades that can emphasize this and make you look tired.
3. Push back protruding lids
Just like when contouring, dark shades on the lid give the illusion of depth. If your lids are very round or protrude slightly forward, a dark matte shade will make them recede. Tip: Winged liner really helps create a more elongated eye shape as well.
4. Lift those downturned eyes
You don't need an eye lift to get an upturned look. Simply smoke out the outer edge of your liner in an upward manner to create a lifted look. Tip: When applying mascara, bring the wand toward the center of the eye rather than the corner. This opens up the look even more.
5. Bring deep set eyes to the forefront
If you have deep set eyes, you probably have a rather enviable natural crease. Avoid going too dark on the lid. Using lighter shades will bring the lid forward.
