7 different ways you can rock white eyeliner

I can already hear you thinking, "What on earth am I going to do with white eyeliner?" I get it. White's pretty stark on most complexions, and the thought of using it on your eyes may be making you cringe, but hear me out on this one.
When it comes to multi-tasking items in your makeup arsenal, white can be used in so many ways that it's really worth investing in a couple of products. Take a look at these gorgeous looks below. I'm sure you'll be adding a white liner to your online cart before you finish reading this post.

1. Look more alert
If your lower waterline tends to be red from either lack of sleep or too much staring at the computer, a white waterproof eye pencil makes quick work of banishing that darkness.

2. Use it as a base color to make shadow pop
Some eye shadow lacks the intensity on the lid when applied because it has to cover your natural skin color. To get the most out of your colors, apply them over a white base for a more intense look.

3. Break those winged liner rules
Who said that liner has to be dark? If you're creating a soft look with either mauve or light brown, using white liner for your wing gives your eye a bright contrast that will have compliments flying your way.
4. Try a retro cat eye
If you're looking to add a little drama to your normal cat eye, line your upper lashline in black as usual, then line your lower lashline with white. Smudge the white to soften the look, and you're good to go.

5. Bring some light to your inner corners
When you want to switch up your inner corner, skip the shimmery pink or gold and use white instead. Again, blending carefully is key to making this look flattering instead of stark.
6. Highlight above and below the brow bone
Once you've completed your entire look, finish up by highlighting the brow bone. Go easy here and blend thoroughly. You don't want to look like you have a white stripe above your eye.
7. Double up your liner
We often use concealer to clean up the edges when doing winged liner or sharp brows, but adding a layer of white on top of another bright eyeliner color creates a more dramatic effect. Get the full tutorial here.
